Mr. Dayes has successfully represented both individuals and entities including police officers, cities, and counties in these types of cases.

Mr. Dayes has litigated cases in federal and state court involving alleged police misconduct, wrongful death, shootings, catastrophic injuries, post-traumatic stress disorder, malicious prosecution, and negligence throughout Florida.

Representations have included the defense of Section 1983 claims alleging false arrest, unlawful search and seizure, excessive force (including wrongful death), due process violations, Eighth Amendment claims, Monell policy claims, and common law claims alleging negligence, false arrest and imprisonment, assault and battery, and malicious prosecution.

Mr. Dayes has also assumed the defense for the insured under policies covering a wide array of risks, such as personal injury, and property damage.

The Firm also handles insurance coverage issues, which include advising the insureds and insurers of their rights and duties under insurance policies, engaging in settlement negotiations, and litigating declaratory judgment actions brought by the Firm or by others.

Mr. Dayes also draws upon his past experience working as the Assistant City Attorney of the City of Longwood, Florida.
